art:screen's main event is art:screen fest, a festival where art:screen invites curators from different video art events and video art festivals from around the world to curate screening programmes. art:screen fest is built on Örebro International Videoart Festival's concept, a festival Art Video Screening arranged 2008 and 2010 in co-operation with the art institutions in Örebro, Sweden. The festival's aims are to show new, compelling, innovative and contemporary video art and moving image from Swedish and international artists, and to provide an international platform for networking and co-operation possibilities between curators. The festival includes screenings, installations and lectures by the invited curators. During evening meals, informal discussions will continue between the participants, enabling lively cultural debates which provide insights into today's world of video art and moving image. The next festival will take place; 5 - 7 October 2012, Örebro, Sweden Collaborators 2012 |
